Tor Browser Security Level: Automatic Switching

TUTORIAL: ever find it a pain to switch Tor Browser Security Levels? My point of concern was mainly having to save and RESTART the entire browser - this means you lose all active windows / tabs of tor Browser in the process, each time you change the security level in tor browser (having to reconnect and all). Sometimes during OSINT (open source intelligence) investigations, we might opt to switch security levels in Tor Browser - as this can harden your browsing experience (or otherwise un-break websites on more strict settings). The problem being, countless websites rely on javascript. And so the safest security settings may not load a page at all. And otherwise, on a more unknown website - we may want to ensure the highest security settings are turned on. I wanted to share my simple idea to help you use any Tor Browser security level, anytime you want - even all at once (separate windows). I may expand on this in the future - make sure to subscribe / follow so you don't miss anything. The risk here is, stock tor browser windows all appear the same - don't mix up those windows, or you might be using the wrong one! We start by creating profiles for tor browser. Each profile is then set to a different security level - and labelled for their relationship to each security level. Finally, we create automated shortcuts for these browser profiles right on our desktop - that way, anytime we need to switch security levels, we just double click the one we wish to use, and the window pops right up for us. Will be adding some copy / paste details to the blog (and i2p blog). Stuck on any part? Share a comment!
